Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Faithwise, operated by Leonenko Group LLC ("Faithwise," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Faithwise mobile and web applications and related services (the "Service"). We built Faithwise to be a calm, private space for your faith, and we treat your data with that in mind.
1. Information We Collect
When you create a Faithwise account, we collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text). If you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive only the information those services share, typically your name and email.
As you use the app, we collect data about how you interact with features, such as devotionals read, reading plan progress, prayer items created, and journal activity. We also collect technical data needed to run and improve the Service.
- Account information: name, email, and authentication credentials.
- Usage data: feature interactions, reading progress, and activity within the app.
- Content you create: journal entries, prayer items, and group posts.
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We store only your subscription status and the last four digits of your card.
Your journal entries and personal prayer items are private to you by default. They are only visible to others when you explicitly choose to share a specific item with a group.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve Faithwise. Specifically, we use it to:
- Deliver your daily devotional and sync your content across your devices.
- Remember your reading progress and personalize your experience in the app.
- Send emails you have opted into, such as devotional summaries and account notifications.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Diagnose bugs, improve stability, and build new features.
- Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your journal entries, prayer items, or other personal spiritual content to train machine learning models or to serve advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third Parties We Work With
We share data only with the service providers that help us operate Faithwise, and only as needed to provide the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure that stores your account and content data.
- Stripe: payment processing. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Postmark: delivery of transactional and account-related emails.
- Cloudflare R2: storage and delivery of media such as devotional backgrounds and audio.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public. In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to this policy.
4. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we begin a soft deletion that removes your access immediately, followed by permanent deletion of your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records by law (for example, billing records). Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Residents of the European Union (under the GDPR) and California (under the CCPA), among others, have these rights.
- Access and correction: View and update most of your information from Profile, then Account Settings.
- Deletion: Request account deletion from within the app or by emailing support@faith-wise.com.
- Export: Request a copy of your personal data in a portable format.
To make a request, email support@faith-wise.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
6. Data Security
We take security seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, and passwords are stored hashed. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. We conduct regular reviews and promptly address vulnerabilities we discover. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and in the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
Faithwise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at support@faith-wise.com and we will delete the account promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
